Now we come to the end of this famous battle, and the 4th part of this "mini-series"

The last bit is often forgotten as we tell the story to children.  David took advantage of his opponent's moment of weakness and followed through.  He took Goliath's own sword and cut his head off with it.

I guess I understand why we rarely tell that to the kiddies, and why women recoil from it.  There is a tremendous lesson there though.

That last lesson is about follow through.  You have to be committed to success.

Will a big man get angry if you slap him in the eye and then wait to see how he reacts?  I think so.  The trick is to decide you are going to win, and then make that happen no matter what.

Your groin kick had no effect and your eye slap hit his cheek?  You must be committed.  Your shin kick stopped him but did not put him down?  Use his indecision and attack!

Force him to the ground with your resolve - no matter the weapons you choose.  Make good your escape by making him more concerned about his own safey than about hurting you.

Size and strength make a difference.  Don't let anyone kid you about that.  Don't let anyone tell you they decide the outcome either though.  You can learn to protect yourself if only you understand your own strengths.

In the end, it's all about YOU.

Personally, I like the honk the nose method of finishing someone off. I mean, it worked in the movie, right???
